A sex offender from New Lebanon was sentenced Tuesday to a year in the Columbia County Jail, for failing to register in 2018.

On May 28, 2019, Honorable Richard M. Koweek sentenced Russell Meyer to one (1) year in the Columbia County Correctional Facility upon his conviction of Failure to Register/Verify as a Sex Offender. Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett's Office investigated this matter and arrested Russell Meyer. The Public Defender represents Russell Meyer. (SCI No. 012-19)
The 34 year old was the subject of a search last December by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. He was located in Troy.
