GREENE COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES SHOPPING BUS RESUMES SERVICE.
The Greene County Department of Human Services is pleased to announce the Shopping Bus will be returning to normal operations as of Monday, May 13, 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience due to the bus being off-the-road.
The shopping bus is available to Greene County residents age 60 or older that live in the towns of Ashland, Athens, Cairo, Catskill, Coxsackie, Greenville, Hunter, Jewett, Lexington, Prattsville and Windham.
Our friendly driver will pick up seniors at their door, bring them to Catskill for shopping, and take them to a local Senior Service Center for lunch before returning home.
All trips are limited to 16 people; on a first come are first served basis. In addition, the bus is wheelchair accessible. There is a limit of two (2) shopping bags per person.
Those wishing to use the bus are asked to call at least one (1) business day in advance to make arrangements. Please call the Department at 518-719-3555.
The bus schedule is:
MONDAY:Mountain Top (Windham, Ashland, Prattsville, Lexington, Jewett & Hunter) & Part of Town of Catskill
TUESDAY: Cairo & Part of Town of Catskill
WEDNESDAY: Athens/Coxsackie
