HUDSON – The annual Columbia-Greene Community College Criminal Justice Luncheon and Award Recognition Ceremony was held on Thursday, April 25 on campus, awarding five scholarships and four certificates of recognition to both 2019 graduates and under-classmen.
Executive Director of the Columbia-Greene Community Foundation Joan Koweek presented the following students with scholarships and awards:
Ashley Petrocca, of Hunter, received the Greene County Police Officers Association Scholarship;
William O’Connor, of Acra, received the Greene County Bar Association Scholarship;
Hosannah Williams, of Leeds, received the William Hanna Sr. Annual Award for Excellence in Criminal Justice;
Ali Kohlmeyer, of Coxsackie, received the Bob Heisinger Forensic and Criminal Justice Scholarship, and
Britnie Litts, of Saugerties, received the Dr. and Mrs. Donald Drum Forensics Award.
In addition, Certificates of Recognition were presented to graduating members of the C-GCC Criminal Justice Club:
Rachel Arnwine, of Middleburgh;
Lamyah Daniell and Martin Chavez, both of Hudson, and
Daniel Stang, of Ancramdale.
Honored guests recognized at the event included Columbia County Sheriff David Bartlett; Greene County Sheriff Gregory Seeley; Michael Hochman, Chair of the Criminal Justice Program Advisory Committee; Criminal Justice Program Advisory Committee Member Mary Heisinger; Nancy Hilscher and Ed Kaplan, representing Greene County Bar Association, and Larry DiDinato and George Carroll, representing the Greene County Officers Association.
