Here's the latest news: Divers are back in Hudson River reportedly searching for the murder weapon used to kill a young Newburgh couple and their nine-year-old son over the weekend. Some elementary schools in Poughkeepsie say they ran out of copy paper right before the Christmas break, and they have been without ever since. Unemployment numbers have gone up slightly across the Hudson Valley.

(Newburgh, NY) -- Divers are back in Hudson River reportedly searching for the murder weapon used to kill a young Newburgh couple and their nine-year-old son over the weekend. Police have arrested the alleged gunman, but they have been unable to find the weapon used in the home invasion Sunday morning. Twenty-seven-year-old Jimmy Crisantos, his wife 26-year-old wife Shatavia and their nine-year-old son were allegedly killed by a gunman known to the family.

(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Some elementary schools in Poughkeepsie say they ran out of copy paper right before the Christmas break, and they have been without ever since. The districts' public information officer is blaming the shortage on the service that delivers paper to the schools. The schools superintendent says the school switched paper suppliers and he says that's the reason for the shortage. Some parents have taken to Facebook to ask for donations.

(Beacon, NY) -- Unemployment numbers have gone up slightly across the Hudson Valley. The latest numbers from December find the unemployment rate went from three-point-four percent in November to three-point-seven percent in December. Columbia County has the lowest unemployment rate at three-point-two percent. Greene County had the highest at four-point-seven percent. Nationwide, December 2019 saw three-point-seven percent joblessness, compared with three-point-nine percent in December 2018.

(Haverstraw, NY) -- White House hopeful and Senator Elizabeth Warren says she is backing Mondaire Jones for an open congressional seat in the Hudson Valley. Jones is running for the Democratic nomination for the 17th Congressional seat left open by Congresswoman Nita Lowey's retirement. He is an attorney from Spring Valley. If Jones were to win, he would be America's first black gay congressman.

(Wappinger Falls, NY) -- Cops are looking for the hacker who broke into the checking account of a Wappinger Falls charity and stole thousands of dollars. Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts of Dutchess County say 23-thousand-dollars went missing from their account on Monday

Police believe someone was able to access their online account. The group says people have been donating over the last 24 hours to make up for the loss.

(Newburgh, NY) -- Police are searching for a gunman who shot two men outside a Newburgh home last night. Witnesses say they heard close to 17 shots fired around 6PM. The men hit are in serious condition. No word on a motive fir the gunfire.
