Things are back to normal now, after a scary situation this afternoon on the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
We're told, a 48 year old man climbed to the top of the bridge after 3 this afternoon and threatened to jump.
State, County, and Local Police responded on the Columbia County Side, Along with Greenport Fire and Rescue
State, County, and Local Police responded on the Greene County Side, Along with Catskill Fire and Ambulance.
Athens and Hudson dive teams were ready if needed.
We're told the man was rescued. The incident began around 3:20.
Traffic in both directions was stopped during the incident.
