Columbia County to start enforcing recycling program

Next Thursday Columbia County will begin their recycling enforcement program in the Town of Greenport when they conduct the recycling run.
The attached stickers will be placed on recycling containers that have contaminated material in them. The recyclables will be accepted for 2 weeks, but on the 3rd week they will be left. The Foreman will be following the recycling truck writing down the address of the houses that have violations and and the County will mail them a recycling protocol.
