A barbeque fundraiser for the Dutchess County DC 10-13 Foundation is taking place on May 19, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Tomáš Tapas Bar & Restaurant, located at 900 Route 376 in Wappingers Falls.
For $40 per person, attendees have an opportunity to sample the creative approaches and flavors of Chef Tomáš (the š is pronounced “sh”), proprietor of one of the area’s finest restaurants.
Among the menu items to be served are St. Louis style of smoked ribs, London broil on rotisserie, marinated BBQ whole chicken, Argentinian asado-style wood-roasted whole lamb, slow-kettle-cooked Hungarian beef goulash, house-made chorizo and Bratwurst sausages, smoked mac and cheese, baked beans, milk-and-butter-poached corn and woodfired corn bread.
A cash bar will be available, along with live music, a live auction and plenty of door prizes and raffles. Proceeds will help support the mission of DC 10-13, which is to help law enforcement families in need throughout the Hudson Valley.
