Catskill man arrested after scary incident involving drugs

Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. reports the arrest of a 41 year old Catskill man Driving While Ability Impaired Charges.

On April 11th, 2019 the Albany County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a vehicle in traffic on Berne Altamont Road in the Town of Berne. The caller advised communications that there were three subjects inside the vehicle that were unconscious. Investigation revealed that all three subjects were overdosing on opioid based narcotics.

EMS Personnel and Sheriff’s Deputies were able to revive all three subjects using issued NARCAN kits. Subsequent investigation identified VINCENT J. OSHANA as the driver of the vehicle. Passengers of the vehicle were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. OSHANA was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and transported to St. Peters Hospital for treatment in addition to a mental health evaluation.

VINCENT J. OSHANA was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and numerous other violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. OSHANA was issued appearance tickets and is due to appear in the Town of Berne court on April 23rd, 2019 at 05:00PM.
