Inmate charged with murder at Greene Correctional

“Arraignment in Prison Murder”

On April 9, 2019, the defendant, Anthony Paradise, 40, was arraigned on a sealed Indictment handed down by a Grand Jury of Greene County for Murder, an A-1 Felony based on an incident that took place on November 9, 2018 at the Greene Correctional Facility in the Town of Coxsackie.

The Indictment was a result of an intense investigation by the NYS Police, Department of Corrections & Community Supervision and the Greene County District Attorney's Office. It is charged that the defendant caused the strangulation death of his cellmate, Delmus Tanner. Paradise was arrested, processed and returned to DOCCS to await further proceedings.
