The death of an inmate at Greene Correctional Facility is under investigation ay the state department of corrections.
Officials say, Anthony Myrie was pronounced dead at Albany Med, after being involved in an altercation with several other inmates.
The incident happened Monday. The cause of death is under investigation.
The downstate man was serving a seven year sentence for drug sales.
